About the MKE Film Fellowship
If you’re looking for an even more hands-on experience than a workshop, this free program is for you.
Please complete this form by 5 p.m.on Friday, April 23 to apply for the 2021 Milwaukee Film Festival Educator Fellowship. (This year, offered virtually!)
Structured like a seminar, the fellowship includes a pre-festival session, a handful of required readings, three post-festival discussion sessions, a final presentation/capstone (in February), and a list of required festival films. Fellows will be required to create and share a teaching object (assignment activity, mini curricular module, lesson plan, etc) as their capstone activity of the program.
Educators selected for the free program will receive a festival pass (retail price: $140) and complimentary copies of required readings/books. The fellowship should take approximately 30-40 hours to complete between May and August, with the bulk of that time spent viewing films during the festival (May 6-20).
